&radio=<b>Radio</b> is used in Am, Fm signal, in RFID tags, for inventory control, and the Doppler Radar for gathering weather data.

&micro=<b>Microwave</b> radiation is used, to cook food by heating up the water molacules in food, and to detect sea ice with satellites. 

&infrared=<b>Infrared</b> radiation is used, in some television controls, night vision photography, sea surface temp imaging.

&ultraviolet=<b>Ultraviolet</b> radiation that seeps thru the atmosphere is known to cause skin cancer.  Frogs are sensitive to UV so they are monitored to see the presence of holes in the Ozone. Dentist use UV radiation to solidify fillings. UV  is also used in the Sterilization process for labritory aquipment and in more common, blacklights are a type of non harmful UV.

&xray=<b>Xray</b> radiation is used in dental x-rays, CTscan, and Supernova detection.

&gamma=<b>Gamma</b> radiation is the most dangerous of the em radiations. It is used in nuclear medicine, and The Gamma-ray Background.
