Dear Mrs. Cerelli,

Today at the Howard Hughes Science Camp I learned about a lot about invertebrates animals, interesting facts about them, and which marine group they go into. Some of the animals I learned about were jellyfishes and anemones, both of them belong to the group cnidarian. Did you know that as babies both of these creatures were in the forms of jellyfishes.

Here is a picture of a jellyfish (left) and a anemone (right).

Then there were the urchins, seastar, and brittle star belonging to the echinoderm group. In the mollusc group there are the clams (also called bivalves because they have two shells), snails, and octopuses.

Crabs, lobsters, spiders, and insects are in the group of arthropods (jointed legs) group and, finally, worms and tubeworms belong to the annelids group. These animals make up 95% of all the creatures in the world!
