Ms. Cerelli,

Today is Tuesday the 7th. In the morning we learned about invertebrates. There are 5 types of invertebrates that we learned about. The types are Cnidarian, Echinoderm, Mollusc, Arthoprods and Annelids. We got to see 1 type of animals for each category except Annelids. Most animals are the same except that some have shells or something hard to protect themselves. Most of them have the mouth on the center of the main part of the animal. Later we went to the beach. At the beach we saw some of the animals that we learned about. The animals were barnacles and sea anemones. We also got to see tidepools.

On Monday we did a couple of things that were kind of fun. On Monday we learned a couple of vocabulary words. We learned the definitions for all the words. We did some experiments so we could understand the words better. One vocabulary word that I learned about was Food Web. What I learned about it was that a food Web is kind of like a food chain, but it does not do in a cycle or order. If you kill 1 members of the food web, the whole web can die. That day we also went to the Pier, but we could not do what we wanted to do because we did not have the right key. Both of these day we have been in the Birch Aquarium.

Sincerely,

Yvette Bandin
