Staff Research Associate and Manager of Earthguide, Memorie Yasuda's research focuses on determining the relationship between productivity and water column chemistry in setting the preservation of open ocean carbonate sediments.With this knowledge, we can make better interpretations about the past with respect to paleocirculation and the marine carbon cycle. Earthguide is a web-based educational resource that focuses on the links between ocean and earth sciences and global change. Earthguide is a CalSpace/SIO educational outreach program and Earthguide is produced entirely by a staff of undergraduate interns.
