Dansgaard, Willi -

(born 1922): Danish climatologist. He applies environmental isotopes to meteorological, hydrological, and glaciological problems, particularly to the climate of the last 100,000 years. With his groundbreaking work in the early 1960ís, Dansgaard made careful measurement of the oxygen isotope levels in Greenland ice cores and was thereby able to reconstruct the climatic history of the last 100,000 years.
