This animation shows how we can give visual clues regarding latitudinal restriction. For example, the latitudinal distribution of winds and upwelling are not the same. In moving from the wind animation to that for upwelling, we would include this transitional segment to convey the point that equatorial upwelling is a much more restricted process.
